Few places offer groups a better “clear-the-head” prescription than this all-purpose Montana getaway, a ski and outdoor activities resort, set 7,500 feet up on Lone Mountain. Big Sky, located in a town of the same name, is 18 miles from Yellowstone National Park and an hour’s drive from Bozeman Airport. “The majority of our business is from groups and a big chunk of that is associations,” says Big Sky national sales manager Brian Stumpf. That said, Big Sky’s numbers are impressive. Accommodations include four hotels, plus numerous condos and cabins, totaling more than 750 rooms. Meeting and function space, meanwhile, ranges from 46,000 square feet at the Yellowstone Conference Center to some 9,000 square feet divided up among the resort’s Mountain Village venues.
