Santa Clara Center Brightening Up

The Santa Clara Convention Center’s Elizabeth B. Hangs Theatre is recovering all 607 theater seats with a midnight blue fabric and adding new incandescent step lighting as part of an $80,000 renovation. The 302,000-sq.-ft. center will also resurface air walls in four meeting rooms. Awarded “Best Event Venue” at the 2010 Silicon Valley Concierge Association (SVCA) Awards, the center also has been recognized for its recycling efforts, winning the WRAP award (Waste Reduction Awards Program) for seven consecutive years. santaclara.org/conventioncenter
