Red Rock Revival

C0911_Destinations_Southwest_SpecialPlaces3_Delicate_ArchMoab, Utah, provides endless opportunities for fun among the red cliffs and slickrock that put the area on the map, while neighboring Arches National Park stands tall as home to the world’s largest concentration of natural stone arches. Hikers, mountain bikers and outdoor explorers will thrill at the variety of back-country hiking, fishing, rafting, biking and rock climbing. Not a jock? The area’s towering cliffs and spires, especially when blasted by the early-morning and late-afternoon light, make the area a photographer’s dream. Arches National Park boasts more arches, fins, pinnacles and balanced rock than the average hiker could lay eyes on in a single visit. Leave the car behind and hike to Balanced Rock, Double Arch, Fiery Furnace, Devils Garden and the park’s most famous geologic feature — Delicate Arch. Be sure to take plenty of water, and plenty of pictures. moabutah.info
