Phoenix Convention Center director retires
Phoenix Convention Center Director Jay Green announced his retirement, effective at the end of April, after eight years of managing staff and operations. Under Green’s leadership, the Phoenix Convention Center completed a $600 million expansion, was the official NFL Super Bowl XLII media headquarters, and hosted the NBA All Star Jam Session and several other large events that drew more than 25,000 attendees. After 33 years in the public assembly facility management industry, Green said he thought it was time to retire.
